DeCanceled Decompression

So, I'm sure some of ya'll are curious as to what you missed.

Well, I'm sore. Sore from all the dancing and spinning fire.
I've got a blister on my hand from spinning glow...
And I'm scratched and bruised, from the gorgeous naked men and women that threw me down on the astroglided tarp. Yes, one of these amazing women used her nails on me in the heat of the wrestling passion, so I've got some delicious war wounds to show off. Afterward there was an outrageous "slip and slide" contingent on the tarps. Turns out that one of our favorite childhood activities is 5 times better with some lube on the slide... I had an awesome time.

We had an live band, called Toast, Saturday night, "seriously talented musicians" (Michael 7.0 Quote). I think they were from Red Camp... Red Camp brought a bunch of newbies, all amazingly cool, burner style, and in awwwwwe of having their devirginization of a burner event... you remember how it was... the first time... of finally finding Home, the place of belonging... Newbies are so much fun to talk too... they are so pure and idealistic about the scene and life in general, ready for their world perspective to change.

Thanks to Aaron's sound system, the tunes went day and night... the dancing never stopped... the newbies had a bit of a problem getting the fire to light on Saturday night... and someone put shelled fireworks in the fire before it was started... which is a no, no, no, no, no... so there was some ducking at random times all evening, as fireworks shot out at us.. but everyone stayed facing the fire, ready for it... and no one was injured... We could have used some more oldbies around to keep the new kids in line about safety stuff like this...

There was a guy who had made a big white burning man kite... and it was beautiful... he flew it at night.. and you could barely see it on the night sky, and till it snuck down on top of you. Ha! Kinda spooky... like a ghost...

There were 4 prominent theme camps represented... in about equaling numbers, June and Michael 7.0 had a groovy camp up in grandmothers grove, with a bar, fans, salmon fajitas and Michael's "truss" with killer colored dance lights hanging from it... There was Pharaoh's Trailer Park, with Patrick, the gourmet BBQ chef, pink plastic flamingos, and the Redneck Slackers... And Red Camp, with their red cone tent, over stocked bar, and super groovy people to get to know... Smash was also strongly represented, and loved... Around 60 to 80 people were there.

This was an amazing event, as often the small burn events are... The spirited people who didn't get enough of Flipside, and some of their friends were there... You had time to meet new peeps, 4 or 5 times, and have a nice strong friendship with them towards the end of the event... I did some good networking... :) When it finally did rain a little bit on Sunday, I pulled the tarps back out, and squirt bottled the leftover astroglide at and danced with Psyche, and laid around as the rain drops fell on us...

I hope everyone will be making it for the "REAL" Decompression, this weekend... I'll be there. I can't get enough of ya'll....
Give me more People CRACK!
